Densitometry Versus Bioimpedance for Modeling Vitamin D–Endocrine and Metabolic Associations in Pediatric Obesity: A Cross-Sectional Parallel-Modality Analysis
Childhood obesity is a major global health concern associated with metabolic and cardiovascular risks. This study compares DXA and bioimpedance (BIA) methods to assess body composition and their relationship with vitamin D and metabolic markers in children with obesity. Results show that both methods provide similar physiological insights despite differences in fat measurement.

Special Issue: Hormones, Inflammation and Congestive Heart Failure
Adipose tissue functions as an endocrine organ that releases adipokines influencing metabolic processes. Visceral fat is closely linked to inflammation, metabolic syndrome, and cardiovascular risk.
